This past May, I was blessed to graduate with a B.F.A. and participate in a student exhibition at Salisbury University alongside many of my talented peers. As part of my capstone project, I showcased graphic design, video work, screen-printed clothing, handmade pins, and poetry in a gallery setting. This project was a valuable exercise in world-building through installation design, using objects, materials, and imagery to create an environment centered on anti-war, anti-fascist, and community-building themes. It also allowed me to explore how digital work can leave the screen and take physical form within a shared space.
Through the project, I generated $400 in profit and donated it in full to Anera and Musicians Without Borders to support humanitarian relief efforts in regions affected by conflict, including Palestine and other parts of the Middle East. I hope this project serves as a testament to the ability of art to inspire action, build community, and contribute to meaningful social change.
